Here we are, folks. Josh and Betsy Desch have officially made their way into blogdom, and let me tell you, it's good to be here.
You may be asking about the title chosen for our blog. If you know me (Betsy), you know that I am a self-proclaimed Tom Petty ultra-fan, and I thought the name of one of his greatest would be an appropriate blog title.
Some big news for us is that we're expecting our first baby on June 24th!!! We're so, so excited. As far as names go, since we've decided not to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl, we have to have one of each picked out. We're stuck on Tom and Jack for a boy after two of our favorite men, Tom Petty and Jack Bauer, and not sure for a girl.
OK, I guess that pretty much covers the catching up bases. Welcome to our blog!

i'm pretty sure that kel wants the kid named after her whether you have a girl or a boy. but that's typical for her. it think billy idol would be a great name. or maybe "peachtree." i'm pumped about being able to read about y'all's life. it was so amazing to see you guys the other week.
We think the baby's name should be Wilberforce Blankenship, and if it is a girl we want her to be called Katelyn Mary Ann.
